For 42 years, he worked at Lukenweld in Coatesville, retiring in 1980.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in Europe.
He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 845 in Downingtown, the West End Fire Company in Coatesville and the Thorndale Fire Company. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 422 in Honey Brook, the Martins Corner Fire Company, the Polish American Citizens Club in Coatesville and the Lukens Veterans Guild.
Born in Cedar Knoll, West Brandywine Township in Chester County, he was the son of the late James P. and Beatrice May Welsh Beecher.
He was married to Elizabeth T. "Betty" Moore Beecher for 55 years.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Earl Robert of Drumore, Ronald J. of Thorndale and Richard L. of Honey Brook; one daughter, Dorothy A. Cook of Downingtown; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy May Shannon of Coatesville.


Earl married Elizabeth T. Moore, daughter of Samuel Boyd Moore and Virginia Gill, on 24 Jan 1942 in La Plata, Charles, MD, United States.1 (Elizabeth T. Moore was born in 1921 in Thorndale, Chester, PA,15 16 died on 20 Aug 2013 in Coatesville, Chester, PA 16 17 and was buried in Glenmoore: Forks of the Branywine Cemetery, Chester, PA 16.)
