Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania, except the elder Charles' parents were from Germany.

Funeral service was held Saturday in Shippensburg for Harry F. Beidel of Shippensburg, a native of Hays Grove, who died Tuesday, Feb. 18, at home at the age of 72. The Rev. Charles Slaybaugh of Trinity United Methodist Church to which Mr. Beidel belonged officiated at the service. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Mr. Beidel was a retired employee of the Reading Railroad. Mr. Beidel was a son or the late Charles W. and Katie Beecher Beidel, born May 17, 1896, at Hays Grove. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Gardner Beidel; two daughters, Mrs. Harrison Perry of Vincentown, N. J. and Mrs. Joseph Gassman of Pemberton, N.J.; two sons, Harry W. Beidel of Charleston, S. C., and Thomas R. Beidel of 700 East Orange St., Shippensburg; one sister, Mrs. Emma Horney of Indianapolis, Ind., and 11 grandchildren.
