All were born in Pennsylvania. Henry's neighbor preceding him is Peter Smith, 49, with his wife Margaret, 42, but the following neighbor is another Bucher.

With him is Elizabeth, 35; John H., 10; Cyrus, 5; Christian S., 11 months old when the census was recorded on 8 Aug 1850. Also with them are others who aren't Bucher: George Schron, 21, laborer; Lidia Zellar, 16; and Catherine Zellar, 9. Everyone is born in Pennsylvania.

The next household is George Yeagley, weaver, 48, wife Elizabeth, 46, and their family; followed by George Hefs, blacksmith, 27, wife Rebecca, 26; and their family. Also in that home was Joseph Dohner, 25, related to the Dohners who married several Buchers.

• Census, 1860, North Lebanon Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, USA. ¹⁰ Benedict Bucher, age 25, is listed as a physician in North Lebanon living apparently as a single person with George Long, age 42, farmer and George's wife, Sabina, 39, and their children.

• Census, 1870, South Lebanon Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, USA. ¹¹ In 1870 in South Lebanon Township, Henry Bucher Sr. and Henry Jr. were living side by side, as neighbors to other Bucher families.

Henry Sr., 72, retired farmer, was with wife Elizabeth, 65; and daughter Lavina, 36. His real estate is worth $4,000 and possessions $600.

Henry Jr., farmer, 34, was with wife Catherine, 24; Monroe, 5; Henry J., 3; Solomon, 2; and Aaron, 4 months, born in April. His real estate was worth $300 and possessions $500.
