2. Census in 1870 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. ^{3 12} The 1870 Census has the household of Emanuel Biecher, 22, plasterer, listed next to his father's household, William Biecher. Living with him is his wife, Margaret, age 21, and Kate, 2. All were born in Pennsylvania.

3. Census in 1880 in Marion, Marion, OH. ^{5 13} The 1880 census recorded Manual Beeker, plasterer, 32, living with wife Margret, 31; daughter Cathrine, 12; son George, 16; and brother George, 25. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

4. Newspaper: Lebanon Daily News, 27 Aug 1881, Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. ¹⁴ Mrs. Emanuel Beicher, Mrs. Henry Weaber, wife of ex-Sheriff Henry Weaber, of Marion county, Ohio, arrived here, accompanied by MIss Laura Embich, who has been paying a visit in the West. The husbands of teh above two ladies reside at Marion and are delighted with their new homes.

5. Census in 1900 in Marion, Marion, OH. ¹ Renting the home at 210 Silver Street in Marion, Ohio, in 1900 was Emanuel Beicher, 53, born Mar 1847, married 36 years to wife Margaret, 52, born Mar 1848. She had birthed 5 children by 1900, 3 were still living, and one living with them: Howard E., 15, born Jul 1884, single. Emanuel and Margaret and their parents were born in Pennsylvania; Howard in Ohio. Emanuel's occupation is plasterer. The preceding neighbor in the Census is William M. Meiley, 37, born Aug 1862, who was born in Ohio but whose father was born in Pennsylvania, significant because Meily was the maiden name of Emanuel's mother. We suspect Emanuel came to Marion to link up with the Meileys.

6. Census in 1910 in Marion, Marion, OH. ¹⁵ Manuel Beicher, laborer, 64, was married to Margret A., 63, who had given birth to three children, all still alive in 1910. With them is one child: son Howard, office clerk in railroad, 24. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania, except Howard was born in Ohio of Pennsylvanian parents.

9. Census in 1920 in Marion, Marion, OH. ¹⁸ Owning the home at 220 Bain Ave. in Marion in 1920 was Margaret Beicher, widow, 77, living with son Howard E., freight clerk with a steam railroad, 34, single. She was born in Pennsylvania, Howard in Ohio, and everyone's parents in Pennsylvania.

Four related Beicher households lived in 1920 within a few blocks of each other: Margaret widow of Emanuel b.1847; George M. born 1873; John E. born 1856; and his son Earl born 1883.

10. Obituary: Marion Daily Star: Mrs. Emanual Beicher, 78, Dies at Daughter's Home on 2 Mar 1926 in Marion, Marion, OH. ¹⁹ Mrs. Margaret A. Beicher, 78, of 220 Gurley, widow of Emanuel Beicher, died a noon today at the home of her daugher, Mrs. M. O. Stoll. Death was caused by complications and old age following an illness of over two months.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Beicher is survived by two sons: George M. and Howard E. Beicher of W. Church st.

11. Newspaper: Marion Star: Mrs. Margaret A. Beicher Is To Be Buried Friday, 3 Mar 1926, Marion, Marion, OH. ²⁰ Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret A. Beicher who died yesterday from complications and old age will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of M. O. Stoll, 220 Gurley Ave., where she died. Rev. Davis will have charge of the services and interment will be made in the Marion Cemetery.
