Living with him is his wife, Margaret, age 21, and Kate, 2. All were born in Pennsylvania. He had no real estate of value and his possessions were worth $100. The previous census listing is for George Meily, 71, watchmaker, significant in that Emanuel's mother's maiden name was Meily.

She had birthed 5 children by 1900, 3 were still living, and one living with them: Howard E., 15, born Jul 1884, single. Emanuel and Margaret and their parents were born in Pennsylvania; Howard in Ohio. Emanuel's occupation is plasterer. The preceding neighbor in the Census is William M.
