• Census, 1900, Adamstown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA. ¹ Sarah Bicher is the head of a household in the 1900 Census in Adamstown, which reports she was born in Dec 1823 and is 76 years old and widowed. The record says she gave birth to six children, five were still living in 1900. One of them, Kate, age 50 born in July 1849 and single, was living with Sarah and was employed as a cigar maker. An adjacent household in the census is likely her son: Henry Bicher, born Aug 1849, and his wife Sarah born Aug 1853 and their children. Sarah and her mother and father were all born in Pennsylvania.

Carrie was born Nov 1879 and worked as a hat trimmer, Bessie was born July 1886 and attended school, and Harry was born Sep 1890.

Living next door is Henry's mother, Sarah Bicher, 76, born Dec 1823, widow, who had given birth to 6 children, 5 still living in 1900. With her is daughter Kate, cigar maker, 50, born Jul 1849. They and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

They were married 25 years and had 6 children, 2 of whom were living in 1910. Living with them is daughter Bessie, 23, knitter; and son Harry, 19, machinist. Living next door is another household head, Sallie Bicher, 86, widow who gave birth to 6 children, 5 still living, and she is with her daughter, Kate, 60. We presume Sallie is Henry's mother.

Sarah married William Bicher, son of John Bicher and Catharine Schneider. (William Bicher was born about 1822 in , Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA ^{4 6} and died before 1900.)
