CLEVELAND -- William Henry Beeker, 62, of Rt. 1 (Mountain Rd) was dead on arrival Saturday evening at Rowan Memorial Hospital in Salisbury after a brief illness.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Cleveland Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Kenneth Hyde officiating.
He was a retired employee of Central Motor Lines, where he worked for 23 years, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Mable Oldham Beeker; sons, Edwin H. Beeker of Gastonia, William A. Beeker of Salisbury, Kenneth Wayne Beeker of the home; daughters, Mrs. Nancy Moore of Mooresville, Mrs. Betty Duncan of New Bern, Mrs. Martha Fisher of Salisbury; brothers, James Beeker of Burlington, Samuel Beeker of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Mrs. Lanie Carter and Mrs. Nancy Wood of China Grove.
The body is at Summersett Funeral Home in Salisbury.
