Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania except Thomas' parents in England. Thomas and Laura were married for 11 years and she had birthed 3 children by 1900. Next door is Thomas' brother Cyrus Heywood, 46, born Sep 1853, with his family.

2. Census in 1930 in Girardville, Schuylkill, PA. 16 The 1930 census recorded renting a home for $18 a month at 209 B Street; Thomas Heywood, mining engineer in coal mine, 30, living with wife Grace, 27; Arlene, 5; and Glenn, 3. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania except Grace's mother in Michigan.

9. Obituary: Republican Herald: obituary of Thomas B. Heywood on 17 Jul 1962 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. 12 Thomas B. Heywood, of 305 E. A St., Girardville, died suddenly Sunday morning in Ashland State Hospital shortly after he had been admitted.
A native of St. Clair, Mr. Heywood was the son of the late Thomas and Laura Heywood. He had lived in Girardville most of his life. A retired mining engineer for fifteen years, Mr. Heywood had recently been elected Sunday School Superintendent Emeritus of Zion's English Baptist Church where he also served as financial secretary for forty-six years, deacon and trustee. He was a member of P. O. F. of L. Lodge of Shamokin and the Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are his widow, the former Grace Davis; two duaghters, Arlene, wife of William Myers, of Newtown, N.J.; and Joan, wife of Lamar Schneff, of Phila.; two sons, Glenn, of Allentown and Thomas, of Easton; twelve grandchildren; two sisters, Glayds, of Shenandoah; and Marian, wife of Harlan Spizer of Hillsboro, Ind.
The funeral will be held Wednesday from the Cooke Funeral Parlor, Giradville. Further services will be held in Zion's English Baptist Church. Interment will be made in the United Protestant Cemetery. Rev. R. L. McGinnis will officiate. J. M. Cooke, funeral director is in charge.
