Born in Perry County, he was a son of the late Amos and Maggie Kuhn Garlin. He was retired from San Giorgio, Inc.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Diane, wife of Warren Bicher, Bethel RD 1, and Margaret, wife of Leonard Hart, Wernersville; two sons, Norman and Eugene, both of Myerstown; six grandchildren; two brothers, Horace E. of Whittier, Calif., and Russell of Reading, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret P. Dunkel of Camp Hill and Mrs. Mary Travitz of Harrisburg.

Officiating was the Rev. Ronald H. McClung, pastor of Friedens Lutheran Church, Myerstown. Interment was in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Stouchsburg.
Pallbearers were Warren Bicher, Leonard Hart and Norman and Eugene Garlin.
