Age 99, of Claymont, DE, passed away Sunday morning, April 27, 2008.

Mrs. Smith was a prayer warrior and sister in Christ. Nora was beloved by everyone. She was a wonderful, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt neighbor and teacher. Nora was an angel on earth.

Nora was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul C. Smith; daughter, Joan Marie Murphy; son, Paul C. Smith, Jr.; mother, Catherine Beecher; sisters, Edna Marsh, Ruth Jackson; brothers, James Beecher, Bob Beecher; and her granddaughter, Catherine Mary Murphy. Nora is survived by her grandchildren, Noreene Elizabeth and her husband, John Campbell, Thomas Patrick Murphy, Jr., Kevin John Murphy and Michael Paul Murphy; 5 great-grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Thomas P. Murphy.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 1, at 12 noon, at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Thursday morning from 10 am-12 noon. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Atonement United Methodist Church, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703.
