(nee Moore) Beecher, 91 of Coatesville, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 with her family by her side after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Earl J. Beecher with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Born in Thorndale, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Virginia Gill Moore.

Betty was a homemaker who loved being around her family.

Betty was a NASCAR fan. She followed both Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

She is survived by her four children, Dorothy A. Cook of Downingtown, Earl Robert Beecher of Conway, S.C., Ronald J. Beecher of Thorndale, and Richard L. Beecher of Honey Brook; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was predeceased by her grandson, Michael Cook.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26th and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27th, at the Wentz Funeral Home followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in the Brandywine Manor Cemetery in West Brandywine Township.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to Brandywine Home Health, 525 Highland Blvd., Coatesville, PA 19320. Arrangements are being handled by Wentz Funeral Home, Coatesville 610-384-0318.
