Jeffrey and William Smith, this city. Deceased was about 52 years of age.

9. Obituary: Daily Local News on 30 Jul 1921 in West Chester, Chester, PA. 3 William Cope Beecher William Cope Beecher, a son of J. Franklin Beecher, of this city, died at the Coatesville Hosptal, shortly after 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mr. Beecher was in his 41st year. He had been ill from a cancerous infection of the stomach for several months. A few days ago he was admitted to the hospital, where an operation was performed. His condition at once grew alarming, and he knew no one thereafter. His wife died about two years ago. A son, Orville W. Beecher, eight years old, and a sister, Mrs. Thomas Walker, with his father, and a brother, Walter, all of this city, survive. The body was taken to the home of his brother-in-law, Mr. Walker, from where the funeral will be held. The most kindly word that can be uttered is none too kind for the young man, who was an exemplary citizen and a devoted father, well liked by all who knew him. Ibid: BEECHER- In Coatesville, Pa., on July 29, 1921, William C. Beecher, in his 41st year of his age. Relatives and friends of the family, also all Orders of which he was a member, are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from the residence of his sister, Mrs. Thomas Walker, No. 618 Main Street, Coatesville, Pa., on Tuesday, August 2. Meet at the house at 2 p.m. daylight savings time. Interment at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may view the remains on Monday evening, 7 to 9.
