2. Obituary: Lucinda Bell was born July 12, 1842 in Holmesville, Ohio. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edwards in Webb City Missouri, November 7, 1913, at the age of 71 yrs, 3 months, 25 days. The funeral was held November 11th in the Christian church in Gravity conducted by the writer, assisted by Bro. W. L Dunlavy. The body was laid to rest by the side of her son in the Gravity cemetery. A husband and nine children are left to answer the summons that will someday, we trust, call all to a great family reunion in the "home over there". Mr. Bucher who has for years been almost an invalid, was not strong enough to be present at the funeral.
In the going of Mrs Bucher, Gravity loses one of its oldest settlers as Gravity has for the greater part of the time, been the home of Mrs. Bucher since 1881. In these long years her Christian life and noble character have made for her a large number of friends and her earthly life is ended, the influence for the good and the right set in motion by this good woman, will go on and on as long as time shall last. For fifty four years, Mrs. Bucher has loved and served her Savior and has now, we believe gone to be with Him for ever more." Irving Wade.
