Obituary: Herald And Torch Light Newspaper on 13 Apr 1881 in Hagerstown, Washington, MD. 14 On the 4th inst., near Gordonsville, Va., at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. M.A. Miller, Mrs. Sarah A Fechtig, relict of the late John H. Fechtig, in the 86th year of her age. The deceased was born and married in Hagerstown, and on the 7th was burried in Rose Hill Cemetery by the side of her deceased husband.


Sarah married John Henry Fechtig, son of Christian Fechtig and Susannah Faulke, on 14 Mar 1822 in Hagerstown, Washington, MD.1 (John Henry Fechtig was born on 14 Mar 1799 in La Plata, Charles, MD, United States,4 7 15 16 died on 10 Apr 1869 in Gordonsville, Orange, VA 4 15 16 and was buried in Hagerstown: Rose Hill Cemetery, Washington, MD 16.)
