Death Certificate: 5 Jun 1879, Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA. ³ His death certificate states he was a 64-year old carpenter and married, living on Sheridan Avenue in the 19th Ward of Pittsburgh for 18 years and previously lived in Wilkensburg, Pa. He was buried in Uniondale Cemetery on June 8. His cause of death was nervous prostration and leneral debility.

17. Obituary: Pittsburgh Post Gazette: Death Notice for John C. Beecher on 7 Jun 1879 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, PA. ⁶ Died: BEECHER -- On Thursday, June 5, at 2:45 A. M. at his residence on Sheridan avenue East End, JOHN C. BEECHER, aged 64 years and 1 month. The friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services on Sunday Afternoon at 1 o'clock.
