4. Newspaper: Reading Times: Woman Asks Pay For Tumor, 2 Jul 1921, Reading, Berks, Pennsylvania, USA. 7 Mrs. Mary Beicher, of this city, appeared before Thomas C. Seidel, workmen's compenstation referee, at the court house Friday and asked for renewal of compensation from the Acorn Hosiery Mills for injuries sustained when she fell from a ladder.
According to the testimony a tumor developed on her right leg between the hip and knee. She received compensation a while and then was given light employment.
Mrs. Beicher claims that she is unable to continue working. Dr. C. K. Kistler and Dr. George R. Curry testified that her condition is such that she ought not work.
