14. Obituary: The Sentinel: obituary of Ruth B. Kough on 26 Sep 1964 in Carlisle, Cumberland, PA. 10 Mrs. Ruth Beecher Kough, Plainfield, widow of Jacob Marshall Kough, died this morning in the Carlisle Hospital. She was 69 years old.
Born on July 10, 1895, at Oakville, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John S. and Carrie Gilbert Beecher. She was a member of the West Hill Evangelical United Brethren Church.
She is survived by:
Four daughters, Mrs. Lester Lay, RD3, Newville; Miss Lyrian Rough, and Mrs. John Snyder, Jr., Carlisle; Mrs. Irvin R. Anderson, Plainfield; a son, Karl B. Kough, RD2, Newville; four brothers, Herman, Camp Hill; Samuel, Walnut Bottom; Paul, RD. Chambersburg; Earl, Walnut Bottom; two sisters, Miss Ella Beecher, Dickinson and Mrs. Viola Russell, Honey Brook, Pa., and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Roth Funeral Home, 169 West High Street. The Rev. Leon A. McCleary, pastor of the West Hill Evancelical United Church, will officiate. Bunal will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Monday evening at the funerai home.
