1. Census in 1850 in Douglass Twp., Berks, PA. ^{1 3} Dieter Bucher, farmer, 49, was with Rachel, 48; Franklin, farmer, 20; Elizabeth, 17; and Henrietta,15. Also in the home: Frederick Boyer, 11. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. His real estate was valued at $5,000.

2. Census in 1860 in Douglass Twp., Montgomery, PA. ^{3 4} George Buchert, 66, occupation 'gentleman", was living with 28-year-old Elisabeth Beneman. He had no real estate of value, his possessions were worth $2,630.

The suggestion is he is living on the preceding neighbor's farm: Henry Dengler, farmer, 25, and his wife Elisabeth, 27, probably a Buchert by birth.

Dengler's neighbor is Dieter Buchert, 57, who has no real estate and possessions worth $749. He is with wife Rachel, 56.

In Dengler's home are these children: Emma, 3; Anna, 2. Also, these laborers: Josavina Benfoster, 19; Jesiah Kolb, 16; and Henry Dengler, 18.
