After a two weeks sojourn at Pottsville, little Mary Eisenhower was agreeably surprised at her home on West Coal street last evening. The little boys and girls were given full possession of her home and for several hours mirth and merriment ran high. At the departing hour refreshments were served. The little ones present were: Carrie Derr, Lillian Radcliff, Annie Eisenhower, Birdie Laudeman, Clara Hildebrand, Ida Dusto, Emma Morton, Annie Eisenhower, Jennie Bitler, Jennie Broton, Daisy Price, Minnie Hoffman, Clara Schoppe, Clara Scheeler, Alice Taylor, of Frackville; Gertie Kerchner, of Noonsburg; Francis Phillips, Rome Blaker, Charles Beisel, Clayton and Howard Loucks, Harry Hildebrand, Sylvester Lambert, Arthur Beacher, Elmer Bitler, Edward Shoppe, Albert James and Herbert Eisenhower. A pleasant evening was spent by the little folks.

Also in the home is Arthur Sr's daughter Joan Balliet and her husband, John Balliet, 33, clerk in lumber company, and their child John Jr., 7. Everyone was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, except Lottie Beacher in Roaring Creek, Pennsylvania; John Jr. Balliet and Joan Beacher in Shenandoah Heights; and John Balliet Sr. In 1935 everyone lived in Shenandoah Heights.

19. Obituary: Pottsville Republican: obituary of Arthur Beacher on 17 Jan 1977 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. 34 Arthur G. Beacher, 208 Ohio Ave., Shenandoah Heights, died Sunday afternoon at Locust Mountain Hospital.
Mr. Beacher was born and educated in Shenandoah and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Beacher. He had been a miner at Kehly Run Colliery many years ago and was last employed at the Ratzburg Lumber Co., Shenandoah. He was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Rescue Hook and Ladder Company.
His wife, the former Lottie Wagner, preceded him in death in 1954 and a daughter, Dorothy, died in 1965.
Surviving are two sons, Arthur of Frackville; Paul, Danville; two daughters, Evelyn, wife of John Balliett, Shenandoah; Jean, wife of Fred Gibbons, Shenandoah Heights; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday morning from the Oravitz Home for Funerals with the Rev. James Mort officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah. A Ollie B. Oravitz has charge.

20. Obituary: Shenandoah Evening Herald: Obituary of Arthur G. Beacher on 17 Jan 1977 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 12 Arthur G. Beacher, 208 Ohio avenue, Shenandoah Heights, died Sunday in Locust Mountain Hospital.
Born in Shenandoah, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Beacher, he was a member of United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Rescue Hook and Ladder Co.
He was a retired miner at Kehley Run, and also worked at Ratzburg Lumber Company. His wife, Lottie Wagner, and a daughter, Dorothy Beacher, prceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur, Frackville; Paul, Danville; two daughters, Evenly Balliett, Shenandoah; Jean Gibbons, Shenandoah Heights; six grandchildren and si greatgrandchildren.
Services will take place Thursday at 11 from the Oravitz Funeral Home with Rev. James Mort officiating.
Visitation Wednesday from 6 to 9. Interment in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
