Newspaper: Lebanon Daily News: John Beicher Sends Sister Handsome Gifts From Panama, 5 Dec 1917, Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. 13 Miss Helen Beicher, of 366 Prune Avenue, is in receipt of a number of handsome gifts from her brother, John R. Beicher, who is stationed with Company M., 33d United States infantry, in the Panama Canal Zone. The gifts include a large handkerchief, upon which is printed a shield, with the lettering "U. S. Army -- War of 1917," in the corner; a large silk muffler, with the flags of the allies around the border; a cushion top, and a French flag, with the photo of the sender embroidered in the center.
The gifts are on display at the Beicher barber shop, on South Eighth street, next to the Central hotel.

Mrs. Helen R. (Beicher) Winkler, 52, wife of Andrew S. Winkler, 115 North Garfield St., Cleona, died last night in Good Samaritan Hospital of medical complications.
She was admitted ot the hospital Thursday and has been ailing for several years.
A member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Annville, she was a member of the Rosary Society and past president of the ladies auxilliary to the Cleona Fire Co.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, are a foster daughter, Dorothy, wife of John Reiter, Wirton, W. Va., and two brothers: John and Joseph Beicher, both of Lebanon.
