The post office listed is Chili.

2. Census in 1870 in Mifflin Twp., Franklin, OH. 7 William Beicher, shoe maker, 42, was living with wife Susan, 41; Frances, 16; Medora, 14; Laura A., 12; Jeremiah, 7; and Reuben, 6. William Sr. and Susanah were born in Pennsylvania; Jerry and Rubin in Indiana, and the others in Ohio.

8. Census in 1900 in Dover Twp., Shawnee, KS. 4 Frances M. Beecher, servant, 47, single, born May 1853 in Ohio of parents from Pennsylvania, was living in the home of William Penny, 27 and his wif Nellie. Francis occupation is "farm laborer."

Newspaper: Topeka State Journal: Frank Beecher Returned from Galveston TX, 10 Dec 1900, Topeka, Shawnee, KS. 11 Frank Beecher returned last week from Galveston, where he has been working for some time. Mr. Beecher was in Galveston during the late storm. While the storm was at the heaviest Mr. Beecher was standing on one of the main streets in front of a large store building, and had just decided to seek shelter in the building. At this time a severe gust of wind broke off the top of a telegraph pole and Mr. Beecher clung to the remaining portion to keep from being blown away. This action probably saved his life, as the building he was about to enter was completely demolished.
