1. Obituary: Ephrata Review: obituary of Joseph Eberly on 7 May 1981 in Ephrata, Lancaster, PA. 9 Joseph M. Eberiy, 84, East Earl R1, died at 9 p.m. Sunday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Horst, Ephrata R2, after a brief illness. He was a retired farmer. Born in Martindale, he was a son of the late Menno Z. and Annie Martin Eberiy. His wife, Alice S. Good Eberiy, died in 1979. He was a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church. Surviving are five sons: Paul G. and James G., both of East Earl R1; Joseph G., Denver R3; Daniel G., Pine Grove R3; and Titus G., Little Marsh R1; and four daughters: Lena, wife of Noah Sauder, East Earl R2; Susanna, wife of Jacob Bicher, Bethel; Anna Mary, wife of Adin Oberhollzer, Hamburg R1; and Alice, wife of Paul L. Horst, Ephrata R2, with whom he resided for one week. Also surviving are 45 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary and Lizzie Eberly, East Earl R2, and one brother, Martin, East Earl R2. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. yesterday in the Bowmansvile Church, with Bishop Joseph O. Weaver officiating. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. The Eckenroth Home for Funeras, Terre Hill, was in charge.


Joseph married Alice Shirk Good, daughter of Daniel Burkhart Good and Susanna Shirk, on 2 Jul 1918 in , Lancaster, PA.1 (Alice Shirk Good was born on 4 Mar 1898 in , Lancaster, PA,2 4 died on 5 Mar 1979 in East Earl Twp., Lancaster, PA 4 9 and was buried in Bowmansville: Bowmansville Old Order Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA 4.)
