A pretty wedding took place at noon yesterday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Jones, Shenandoah Heights, when their daughter, Miss Dorothy, was united in marriage to Arthur Beacher, also of the Heights. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. David J. Jones, pastor of Calvary Baptist church, in the presence of members of the immealate families. William Brown and Miss Margaret Major, of Tamaqua, were the attendants. The couple received many handsome and useful gifts. The bride is employed as an operator tor the Bell Telephone Company, and is well known and popular. Mr. Beacher is also well known and enjoys a large ciicle of friends. Following the ceremony a Thanksgiving dinner was served. The couple has the best wishes of many friends for a happy voyage o'er the sea of matrimony.

Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania, except Dorothy's parents were from Wales. They are living at 208 Ohio Avenue.

Obituary: Pottsville Republican: obituary of Dorothy Jones Beacher on 28 Mar 1988 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. 15 Dorothy Beacher, 82, of 425 Washington St., Frackville, died Saturday afternoon in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Joan and Emil Micun, 313 Ridgeway St, Philadelphia, where she resided for the last eight years. Mrs. Beacher was born in Shenandoah, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Jones. She resided in Frackville most of her life. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Frackville.
Her husband, Arthur died Jan. 10, 1980. Surviving, in addition to her daughter, are a grandson, David Micun; nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday from Nice Funeral Home, Frackville.
The Rev. William Murphy, Bustleton Methodist Church, Philadelphia, will officiate. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah. There will be no calling hours this evening.
