Funeral Will Be Held This Afternoon at 1.30

Funeral services for Horace N. Benfield of 127 N. Franklin St., Allentown, who died at his home Saturday morning, will be held in St. Paul's Lutheran church today at 1:30 p.m. Rev. George A. Greiss, D.D., will officiate. Interment will be made in the West End cemetery.

Mr. Benfield, 56, was a paperhanger and painter for the Allentown National bank in its service department. Born in Clayton, Berks county, he was the son of John and Emma, nee Nuss, Benfield. He was a resident of this city practically all his life and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Helen, nee Bury; a niece, Helen Hale; two brothers, Edgar of Emmaus and Wilbur of Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Rabenold, Mrs. Ella Bittner, Sadie and Emma of this city.


Horace married Helen Katherine Bury, daughter of Hubert Bury and Martha Alwine Sophie Papenkuhl, on 13 Jun 1905 in Allentown, Lehigh, PA.1 2 (Helen Katherine Bury was born on 30 Apr 1885 in Lennep, Remscheid, North Rhine-Westphalia, DEU,2 10 11 12 13 died on 25 Oct 1973 in Quakertown, Bucks, PA 10 11 12 14 and was buried on 27 Oct 1973 in Emmaus: Moravian Cemetery, Lehigh, PA 12.)
