The will of Mrs. Mary D. Shigley has been probated in the circuit court. It was drawn up on January 25, 1923, and decrees that $250 be paid to the First Church of Christ. Scientist, in memory of her daughter, Pearl Dobbins, deceased. The sum of $250 is bequeathed to Clair Robinson, reader in the church; $200 to Mrs. Hettie Brommer; $100 to Temple Bailey, a nephew, and $100 to Thornton Beeker, a nephew. An opal and chip diamond . ring is left to Miss Cormine Strate; the household goods to a sister, Mrs. Lillle Beeker Rhyan; and the residue to her sister, Mrs. Lillie Beeker Rhyan and the latter's husband, Clarence O. Rhyan. Mrs. Lillie Beeker Rhyan is named as executrix.

FRANKFORT -- Suit to set aside the will of May B. Black, filed for probate in Circuit court, was instituted Friday by eight persons -- Opal Aper, Hazel Chenoweth, Manford Beeker, Bernice Beeker, Clifford Beeker, Leonard Beeker, John Beeker and Stephen Beeker against Magdeline Hornbeck as executrix of the estate and Magdoline Hornback, Thornton Beeker and Katheryn Shigley as heirs named in the will. The estate includes real estate in Clinton and Tippecanoe counties estimated to be worth $30,000. The will was drawn April 11, 1950. The complaint alleges undue influence in the writing of the will.

Mrs. Morris R. Parks, West Lafayette, received word of the death of her brother, Samuel T. Beeker, 64, in Dunnellon, Fla. Mr. Beeker was born in Battle Ground, but had resided in Florida the past four years. His death was unexpected. He was a 1918 graduate of the Purdue University School of Mechanical Engineering, a Navy veteran of World War I, a member of the Battle Ground Masonic lodge and Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was employed for many years by the Virginia Power and Light Co. of Richmond, Va., before retiring in 1952. Mrs. Parks is the only immediate survivor.
