John's real estate was valued at $1500.

Randolph appeared in the household of Samuel Beeker in a census in 1860 in Tippecanoe Township, Tippecanoe, IN, USA. 12 12 The 1860 census recorded Samuel Beeker, farmer, 34, living with wife Hannah, 18; Mary D., 3; and Eldora, 9 months. Also in the home is farm hand Joseph Pruett, 17. Everyone was born in Indiana except Hannah in Ohio. Samuel's real estate was valued at $3850 and personal estate $395. Neghbors are Emma's mother, Francis Dukes, 69, born in Virginia as was her mother, her father in Maryland; and Francis' brother Joseph McClintock, 67, born in Virginia, and his family.

He was presented with an elegant sprig rocking chair, and a number of smaller gifts. There were about fifty people present. Games of all kinds were indulged in until about nine o'clock when they were called to the dining room where tables were laden with good things of all kinds. After supper was served they returned to their several homes well pleased with the evenings entertainment.

The children were born in Colorado and their parents in Kansas. Randolph was born in Indiana and his parents in Virginia.

RANDOLPH PRUITT, PIONEER RUFFALO HUNTER, CLAIMED

Randolph F. Pruitt, 85 years of age, died at a local hospital Tuesday morning. Mr. Pruitt came to the west about 60 years ago from Tippecanoe county, Indiana, and was one of the early buffalo hunters in Kansas and Colorado.
He worked for many years as a watchmaker. He first settled at Cawker City, Kans., and removed from there to Denver. He has been in Casper the past year living with his daughter, Mrs. Ina Gissom, 242 North McKinley street. He was a member of the Methodist church.
He is also survived by three other daughters. Mrs. Albert Minge, of Denver, Mrs. Eva Garver of Portis, Kans., and Mrs. Edith Emery of Lebanon, Kans., and one son, J. R. Pruitt, of Denver.
The body will be forwarded to Denver by the Muck Funeral Home for services and interment.


Randolph married Frances Emmaline Dukes, daughter of John Dukes and Frances McClintick. (Frances Emmaline Dukes was born in Feb 1852 in West Point, Lee, IA, USA,26 died on 13 Apr 1907 in Portis, Osborne, KS, USA 26 27 and was buried on 14 Apr 1907 in Glen Elder: Browns Creek Cemetery, Mitchell, KS, USA 26.)
