Beeker, 77, a former Army Corpos of Engineers branch chief, died of aheart attack July 28 in Florida where he had lived since retirement. He was a former resident of Arlington. Beeker began a 30-year career with the government in 1935 when he joined the Public Work Administration here. He was a branch chief with the engineer data processing center of the Army Corps of Engineers for about 25 years, retiring in 1963. He leaves his wife, Verda A., of Lake Worth, Fla.; a son, Bruce L., of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Leona B. Turner, of Manassas; four grandchildren; and three sisters.
