Census in 1900 in Flat Rock Township, Bartholomew, IN, USA. 7 The 1900 census recorded Frederick Beeker, farmer, 55, born Aug 1844, living with wife Margaret J., 44, Nov 1855; daughter Mary, 17, Feb 1883, single; and daughter Annie, 14, Aug 1885, single. The couple was married for 15 years and Margaret had birthed only 1 child [note: other records identify Annie as her daughter.] Frederick, his parents, and Margaret's parents were born in Germany. Margaret and the children were born in Indiana. Mary's mother was born in Germany and Annie's mother in Indiana. Their father was born in Germany. Frederick had immigrated in 1865 and was naturalized as a U.S. citizen.

4. Obituary: Columbus Republic: obituary of Anna Dinkins on 16 Jun 1966 in Columbus, Bartholomew, IN. 2 Mrs. Anna Dinkins, 80, widow of George Dinkins, died at 6:20 a.m. today at the Ken-Joy convalescent home in Hope. She had been in ill health about three years.

The daughter of Fredrick and Margaret Shank Beeker, she was born in Bartholomew county Aug. 28, 1885. She was married to Mr. Dinkins Jan. 1, 1905. He died March 24, 1945.

Mrs. Dinkins lived in Bartholomew county all of her life and was a member of St. Louis Crossing Methodist church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Norman funeral home in Hope by the Rev. Ralph Turney. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery. Calling hours will be after 3 p.m. Friday.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Newsom and Mrs. Elmer Tressler, both of Hope route 2, and Mrs. Robert Newsom of Olivehurst, Calif., five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A son, Harold, died in 1915.
