1. Newspaper: Obituary of Nella Beecher Harrington, 12 Oct 2014. Nella Beecher Harrington, 86, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Cotton Grove Estates under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

Nella was born on December 19, 1927 in Appling County to the late Carlie C. and Vonice S. Beecher. She was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Alma where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Nella and her late husband, R.T. Harrington enjoyed traveling and trips to their mountain home.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Lina Beecher of Jesup; sisters, Martha Simmons of Hortense and Myrtle Jones of Jesup; nieces and their spouses, Candee and Nick Harris of Jesup, Cindy and Tony Smith, Rhonda and Alvin Carlson and Windee Simmons all of Hortense and Michelle and Steve Barthlow of Woodstock, GA; nephews and their spouses, Carey and Carmen Jones and Alan and Lynn Jones of Jesup. Numerous great nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Alma with Reverend Bob Blankenship officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.

Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
