C., and Mr. Beeker is now employed in High Point, N. C. They expect to make their home in High Point in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. Beeker are both of Albemarle, N. C.

Asheboro - Mrs. Gertrude Crowell Beeker, 72, of 735 Uwharrie St. died Sunday at Brian Nursing Center.
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilkes D. Macaulay and the Rev. Dean Bailey officiating. Graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. at the New London Cemetery.
She was a Stanly County native, a retired employee of the Agriculture Extension Service and an employee of Sikes, Morton and Brown law firm in Albermarle. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are husband, James A. Beeker, daughter, Mrs. Peggie Pitts of Charlotte; son, Ned Beeker of Lexington; sisters, Mrs. Lucy Wilson of Lexington, Mrs. Marquerite Thompson of Lexington; brothers, Lucian Crowell of New London, Price and Jack Crowell of Granite Quarry, Otha Crowell of Salisbury; three grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.
