Henry Hill Beeker, 66, of Hamlin Road, died Friday at Watts Hospital following a long illness.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Milton Gilbert at the Clements Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

A native of Rowan County, he was a Durham resident for the last 35 years and was a member of the Duke Chapel United Methodist Church. He recently retired from the Duke Power Co. after 33 years service.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Addie Mae Gilbert Beeker; four sons, Jan Thomas Beeker and Jerry Lentz Beeker, both of Durham, Preston Hill Beeker of Maxton and Frank Gilbert Beeker of Richmond; five sisters, Mrs. Annie B. Porter of Salisbury; Mrs. Blanche B. Hendrix of Charlotte, Mrs. Ruth B. Lentz Childress of Mooresville and Mrs. Hallie B. ZHartman of Kannapolis; two brothers, Will Beeker and Gus Beeker, both of Cleveland, N.C.; and 12 grandchildren.

The family requests that flowers be omitted and that contributions may be made to the Cancer Fund.

Henry married Addie Mae Gilbert, daughter of James D. Gilbert and Celia Venoy.
