SALISBURY -- William Sparks Beeker, 87, of Rt. 1, Cleveland, died Thursday in Davis Hospital in Statesville.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Cleveland Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Gilmer Beck officiating. Burial will be at the church.
He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a retired farmer.
Surviving are widow, Mrs. Pearl Goodman Beeker; sons, W.H. Beeker of Cleveland, James B. Beeker of Burlington, Samuel F. Beeker of Alburquerque, N.M.; daughters, Mrs. Lanie Carter and Mrs. Nancy Wood of China Grove; brother, A.C. Beeker of Cleveland; sisters, Mrs. Mae Childers of Mooresville, Mrs. Ernest Kendrick of Charlotte, Mrs. Hallie Hartman of Kannapolis, Mrs. Ruth Lenz of Rockwell, Mrs. Annie Porter of Salisbury.
