C. $10 in gold for the best poem pertaining to the Confederacy, in 1928. Since 1923 Miss Beeker has been the successful contestant for seven prizes. She is a member of the Annie Johns chapter, the junior organization of Leaksville. She is now a student at Meredith college.

Visitation Monday, 10:00 -11:00 A.M. at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Services at 11:00 A.M., burial immediately following. No immediate survivors. Gifts in her memory may be made to the Lottie Moon Foreign Missions Fund, c/o Belmont Heights Baptist Church, 2100 Belmont Blvd., Nashville, TN 37212.
