Thomas Minter Campbell, of Pittsboro, passed away at 8 a. m. yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. E. Womble, after a lingering illness. He was 89 years old.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. J. L. Turpin, Mrs. O. L. Smith, Mrs. W. E. Simpson and Mrs. H. L. Granley, or Burlington, and Mrs. Womble, of Pittsboro, and four sons: G. G. Cambpell, Moncure; L. R. and L. B. Campbell, of Danville, Va.; and G. C. Campbell. Surviving also are 27 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Hill Methodist church at Pittsboro under the direction of Rev. B. H. Barger, of Burlington, with interment in the church cemetery.

Thomas married Virginia Eleanor "Jennie" Johnson. (Virginia Eleanor "Jennie" Johnson was born in May 1857 in , , NC.)
