Jacob George, was born in Lowhill Township. For almost 70 years he was owner and proprietor of the Leather Corner Post Hotel, an old Landmark of that part of the state. He married Lydia Woodring. Issue: Reuben; Eli; Jonas; Elmina, (Mrs. Reuben Deihl); Elizabeth, (Mrs. Augur); Jemima (Mrs. Menno Klutz); Lydia, (Mrs. Fenstermacher); Daniel and George George.

Menno married Jemima George, daughter of Johan Jacob George and Lydia Wotring. (Jemima George was born about 1837 in Lowhill Twp., Lehigh, PA.)
