Church [indexed in census as Abe Church], female, 54, born in New York, with her daughter Mary Church, 23, and son Benjamin Church, 21, both born in Missouri. The Church's are in the household of D. Parer, harness maker, 33, born in Ohio, and his wife Amelia, 25, born in Missouri [who is Abigail's daughter.] The post office in 1870 was Stockton. [Today Liberty is a ghost town, originally named Fugitt's. The town's location was at today's Libery Rd. and Lower Sacramento Rd. in Acampo and all that remains is Liberty Cemetery to the east where Nelson Church is buried.].

Census in 1880 in Liberty, San Joaquin, CA, USA. ⁶ The 1880 census recorded Abigal Church, widowed, 65, living with her daughter Amanda's family: George Callaway, farmer, 50; Amanda M., 39; John M., 24; Mary E., 22, James N. 20; Charles L., 18, George W., 12; and Edward F., 9. Abigal and her parents were born in New York. George Sr. was born in Ohio. Amanda was born in Indiana, her father in Vermont, and mother in New York. Her children were all born in California.
