He was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Fullerton.

He was a founding member of the Shenandoah Valley Boosters Club and a coach in the Shenandoah Little League.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors: Wife; sons, John of North Catasauqua and Edward in Florida; daughters, Ellen of Park Place, Schuylkill County, Ann, wife of Daniel Pascavage of Delano, Schuylkill County, and Marie, wife of John Beacher of Whitehall Township, and six grandchildren.
