2. Obituary: on 21 Mar 1882 in , Montgomery, PA. ⁵ Mrs. Mary Fritz, widow of John Fritz, died on Friday morning, at the residence of her son-in-law, Joel Y. Barlow, in East Pikeland township, Chester county. She would have been 90 years old today, Saturday, the 18th inst. The husband of Mrs. Fritz was a resident of Pottsgrove township, Montgomery county, for many years, and kept the toll-gate about two miles east of Pottstown for a long period. The deceased had but two children, one of whom, a daughter, Mrs. Naille, who is dead, and another, Mrs. Joel Y. Barlow, who is still living. Mrs. Fritz is an aunt to ex Governor John F. Hartranft, being a sister of his mother. She had several relatives in this vicinity, ex-Commissioner John Y. Fritz, of Pottsgrove, being one, and she has a brother, Daniel Bucher, living in Chester county. The funeral will take place on Tuesday next, at 10 o'clock, from the residence of J. Y. Barlow, East Pikeland, to proceed to Limerick Church for interment.
