Heather was born on Oct. 3, 1978, in Salisbury. She was the oldest daughter of Janet Pope Hill and Gary Wayne Hill. Heather graduated from West Rowan High School in 1996. She then attended the Louise Harkey School of Nursing at the Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in Concord. She last worked at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital in Albemarle as an operating nurse. Heather was a kind and loving person and a dedicated nurse. She loved the Lord and she was a long-time member of Lebanon Lutheran Church.
Of all things, Heather's family was of the greatest importance to her. She was happiest spending time with them, especially her children, Mason and Morgan and her husband, Kevin. Heather also loved all animals and cared greatly for them especially her two special dogs Emily and London. Music was also important in her life. She was an accomplished pianist and she spent many happy moments in the West Rowan Marching and Jazz Bands.
Heather loved traveling to new and beautiful places. She was always excited about a short trip to the coast or to the mountains. Not only that, but she belonged to the Motor Maids group and traveled across the country several times with them on her motorcycle. Just recently she traveled to Boston for their conference where they made her a Lifetime Member.
Heather was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Narvis and Ivan Hoyt Pope, Sr. and Molly and James Alvin Hill and also by her aunt Carol Pope and uncle Hoyt Pope.
In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kevin Beeker; son, Mason Leonard; daughter, Morgan Leonard; sister, Jennifer Hill Caton (Danny); and nephews, Devin and Logan Caton; and her children's father, Mitchell Leonard.
Service: A celebration of Heather's life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m. at Lebanon Lutheran Church, 1200 Thompson Road, Cleveland, NC with the Rev. Carroll Robinson and Rev. Walter Weikel, officiating.
Visitation: The family will greet friends and relatives beginning at 12 p.m. in the Lebanon Lutheran Church Narthex prior to the service.
