Obituary: Charlotte Observer: obituary of William Ray McCall on 15 Mar 2009 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg, NC. ¹ HENDERSONVILLE \emdash Mr. McCall, 64, of Hendersonville, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House. He was born in Gaston County, a son of the late Bessie Teague and Joe Butler McCall, and husband of the late Eloise Kuykendall McCall. He was also preceded in death by his older brother Y.J. McCall. He was a member of Derita Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, where he was the sexton for the last seven years. He worked many years as a brick mason, a card hand at J.P. Stevens, and as an auto mechanic. He is survived by the family that he dearly loved: two sons, Robert Joe McCall of Six Mile, SC and William ''Billy'' Ray McCall, Jr. of Zirconia; two daughters Sandra Beeker of Charlotte and Debbie Harper of Stanley, NC; three sisters; two brothers; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 6:30pm Monday, March 16, at Derita Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. Mr. Dick Tubbs will officiate. Memorials may be made to Derita Presbyterian Church, P.O.
