Rev. Beecher was born in Jeff Davis County. He was the son of the late: Floyd Beecher & Laurence McLeod Beecher and was the husband of the late Athell Thompson Beecher. Rev. Beecher was a pastor for 33 years. He was a loving pastor of Bethany Freewill Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, Ga. & Hahira Freewill Baptist Church in Hahira, Ga.

Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law: George & Tina Beecher of Hazlehurst, Billy & Laine Beecher of Dallas, Texas; Step-mother: Carol Bullard Beecher of Hazlehurst; Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Donnie & Sheri Beecher of Houston, Texas, Jeffery & Beth Beecher of Hazlehurst; Grandchildren: Kyle Beecher of Hazlehurst, Megan Beecher of San Angelo, Texas, Sarah & Gabe Ramsey of Dallas, Texas, Robert & Kimberly McCoy of Waycross, Wesley McCoy of Folkston, & Kristin McCoy of Folkston; 2 Great-grandchildren: Kayden Beecher & Maggie McCoy; several nieces & nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29th from 6-8 pm at Miles Funeral Home 242 Uvalda Highway Hazlehurst, Georgia 31539.

Rev. Beecher will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
