DOROTHY PATRICIA KOOISTRA OF NEW MILFORD DIES AT AGE 89

NEW MILFORD -- Dorothy Patricia Kooistra (nee Bicher), 89, a longtime resident of New Milford, died July 1.
She was born in Teaneck on May 28, 1927 to Robert and Emily Bicher, and lived in New Milford for more than 60 years, spending the last eight months in San Diego, Calif., near her daughter.
Predeceased by her husband, M. William Kooistra, in 2003, she is survived by her son, William and his wife Debi; her daughter, Deborah and her husband Peter; her grandchildren, Jamie, Alexis, Bryce, Colin, Christa and Chase; her great-grandchildren, Clay, Lucas. Ella, Emilia, Eva and Eliana; her sister-in-law, Janet Decker; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Saturday, July 23, at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
