4. Obituary: Evening Herald: obituary of Robert J. Beecroft on 17 Sep 1968 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 3 Robert J. Beecroft, of 814 West John street, Frackville died this morning in the Ashland State Hospital. He was 95.
A plumber by trade, he was a resident of Frackville 51 years. A native of Stockton, son of the late William and Isabel Beecroft, he resided in Shenandoah before locating in Frackville.
His wife Ethel P. (Temple) Beecroft died in 1959.
Mr. Beecroft was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and an honorary member of the Englewood Friendship Hose Company.
Surviving are nine children: Dorothy in New York, Harry N., John R. and Joseph. E. all of Frackville; James R., at home; Clara L. wife of Michael Barron, Frackville; William, Texas; Mrs. Violet Allebach, Mrs. Sara Hartzel, of Camden, N.J.
He also leaves 34 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Robert F. Hoppes Funeral Home, Third and Washington streets, Frackville. Rev. Kenneth M. Traxler of the Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville, will officiate. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah. Viewing is Thursday afternoon, continuing until service time. Robert F. Hoppes in charge.
