In honor of his 30th birthday anniversary, Morris Biechert was tendered a surprise part on Monday evening. A number of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Karsnitz, next door to the Biechert home, and proceeded there in a body. Mr. Biechert was so taken by surprise that he scarcely knew how to express his feelings when the visitors arrived. He received a number of useful presents. The young people spent the evening playing various parlor games, while the older folks were engaged in social chat and watching their games. Before leaving for home, refreshments were served. The following were present: Mr. and Mrs. Alex Harnish, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Katterman, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shay and son Robert, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Biechert, Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Eckenroth, Mr. and Mrs. Martin R. Newspaper: Reading Times: Chickens Jag on Neighbor's Cherry Wine, 11 Sep 1912, Reading, Berks, Pennsylvania, USA. 24 Myerstown, Sept. 10 -- Several days ago, Samuel Reed, of Stoever avenue, emptied a jug that had contained wild cherry wine and placed the cherries in the alley at the rear of his home. Later a neighbor's chickens were noticed to be acting queerly.
This was kept up for a few days, the chickens lying about int he poultry yard, apparently not sick, but in a sort of stupor, until the neighbor saw the wild cherries lying in the alley, when the mystery was solved. The chickens belong to Morris Biechert, of Richland street.

Morris H. Bicher, 77, of 27 E. Main St., Myerstown, died early today at his home. He was the son of the late Henry and Lucy (Frey) Bicher. Mr. Bicher is survived by three sons, George, of Womelsdorf, and Henry J. and Morris Bicher of Myerstown; three daughters, Mrs. Allen Bamberger, Myerstown; Mrs. Anna Buck, Philadelphia, and Mrs. Phyllis Barrett, Arcadia, Calif., and eight grandchildren. His wife died about 25 years ago. Mr. Bicher was a member of the Myerstown Reformed Church, the Knights of Pythias and the Good Will Fire Company of Myerstown.
