4. Obituary: Palladium-Item: Rush County Woman Killed by Train on 15 Sep 1940 in Richmond, Wayne, IN. 2 HENDERSON, Ind. Mrs. Myrtle Holt, 61 years old, wife of Robert Holt of near this place, was instantly killed about 6 p.m. Saturday when the car she was driving was struck by a Big Four freight train here. There were no witnesses to the crash and it is not known whether Mrs. Holt did not see the train or that she saw it too late to stop. She is survived by the husband, Robert; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Gurley of Altmar, N. Y.; four brothers, T. L. Beher of Rush county, Howard Beher of Elwood, Cleveland Beher of Anderson, and H. T. Beher of Carthage; one sister, Mrs. Ola Stevens of Knightstown; and a grandson. The body was removed to the Moster Funeral home In Rushville where friends may call. Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending word from the daughter in Altmar.
