Son of the late John and Carrie (Pitts) Schneff, he was a member of the Zion Lutheran Chapel, Girardville Hose Company, Six County Firemen's Association, and the church baseball league. He had been employed by Fetter's Dairy and the Department of Highways.
His wife, the former Eleanor Price, died July 3, 1966.
Surviving are one daughter, Yvonne, wife of David Letterman of Girardville; one son Lamar of Philadelphia; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Mclntyre, Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. Edna Yarnell, Bethlehem; Mrs. Mildred Hurley, Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Funeral 1 p.m. Wednesday from the McDonald Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Henderschedt officiating. Interment in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Viewing Tuesday from 4 to 10 p.m.
