1. Newspaper: Public Opinion: obituary of Edith K. White, 26 Mar 1990, Chambersburg, Franklin, PA. ¹ MAPLETON DEPOT - Edith K. White, 85, of R.R. 1, died at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 1990, in J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Sept. 27, 1904, in Greenwood at Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Thompson and Eva Shultz Miller. She was a Protestant. On Nov. 22, 1922, she married Melvin M. White. He died Feb. 9, 1970. Surviving are eight children: George B. of R.R. 1; Ellis J. of Hampton, Va.; Robert L. of R.R. 3, Huntingdon; Monroe P. of R.D., Allensville; Eugene M. of AUensport in Mount Union; Gladys (Mrs. Charles) Kunkleman of Shippensburg; and Mary G. Gibson and Emma (Mrs. Glenn) Beecher of Fayetteville; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; twin brother, Theodore Miller of Shirleysburg; and a sister, Geraldine Miller of Mapleton Depot. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death. Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon. The Rev. William W. Kauffman will officiate. Burial will be in l.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will be after 7 tonight in the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.
