St Rose Church was the setting for the marriage of Barbara Jean Beicher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stewart Beicher, 1025 Park Ave., and A/1c Daniel M. Brinkman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin L, Brinkman, 713 Wolff St The couple exchanged their vows at noon on Sept. 15 before the Rev. Donald Elverman.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white silk organza and taffeta with a Sabrina neckliner and a fitted bodice trimmed by lace appliques which were repeated on the skirt and its train. A lace cap studded with pearl and crystal teardrops held her fingertip, medallion-trimmed veil and white pompons and ivy surrounded a white orchid in her cascade bouquet.
Her attendants, in silk ballerina-length frocks with round necklines and floating back panels, were Judith Erickson, the honor aide in antique gold, and Mary Kay Beicher and Linda Beicher, the bride's sisters, who were bridesmaids in fern green frocks. Matching open pill boxes and bouquets of bronze pompons, daisies and ivy completed their costumes.
Patricia Beicher, the bride's God-daughter, was flower girl in a white silk organza frock with an antique gold cum merbund, a crystal crown and a bouquet similar to that of the senior aides.
Thomas Peters, the bride-groom's brother-in-law, was best man, Donald Duda and Robert Brinkman, the bride groom's brother-in-law, escorted the bridesmaids and Richard Andrews and Dale Slaasted, cousins of the bridegroom, were ushers.
For the ceremony and a reception at Racine Labor Center, the bride's mother wore a frock of fern green silk organza with matching accessories and a white orchid corsage. The bridegroom's mother also wore a white orchid with a light blue frock
The bridal couple is en route to Anchorage, Alaska, where the bridegroom is stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base.
Previous to the nuptials the bride was honored at miscellaneous showers given by the bride's aunt, Mrs. John T, Beicher, 624 Echo Lane; by Judith Erickson, Mrs. Richard Scheppe and Judith Shaughnessy, who entertained at 1331 Center St., and by the bridegroom's mother and his sisters, Mrs. Thomas Peters and Mrs. Roger Gease, who were hostesses at the Brinkman home. A stag party honoring the bridegroom was given by Thomas Baker and Ralph Slaasted.
