5. Obituary: Salisbury Post: obituary of Mr. Ned Ray Freeze on 26 Feb 2015 in Salisbury, Rowan, NC, USA. ⁶ SALISBURY - Mr. Ned Ray Freeze, 80, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born Oct. 23, 1934 in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Ira and Lillian Stutts Freeze.

Mr. Freeze was a graduate of China Grove High School and N.C. State University where he earned his bachelor's degree in education. He graduated with his master's degree from the University at North Carolina. Mr. Freeze taught school at North Rowan High School where he was head of the science department. After teaching he started lab work at Fiber Industries until retirement after 23 years. Mr. Freeze was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where he served as Clerk of Session Elder.

Along with his parents, Mr. Freeze is preceded in death by his sister, Fay Aldridge.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marcella Beeker Freeze, whom he married in 1954; daughter, Pam Coningsby (Bob), of Ocean Isle; son, Bryan Freeze (Theresa), of Woodleaf; brothers, Richard Freeze (Euva), of Arizona, Larry Freeze (Shirley), of Salisbury; sister, Jean (Roy) Morris, of Salisbury; grandchildren, Meredith Coningsby and Sofie Freeze.

Visitation and Services: Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at Summersett Memorial Chapel. The family will see friends at the home at other times.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, 720 Grove St., Salisbury, NC 28144 and Second Presbyterian Church, 732 Lincolnton Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
