Ann Beeker Chinnis, 76, of Summerville, wife of Edward H. Chinnis, Jr. died April 14, 2007 at Trident Medical Center. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 11 o'clock at First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive, Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be held in Oleander Memorial Gardens, Wilmington, NC. Friends may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 6 until 8 o'clock Tuesday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Shriners Children Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Mrs. Chinnis was born January 2, 1931 in Davidson County, North Carolina. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Praying Hands and was part time secretary for Mt. Pleasant First Baptist Church. She was a occupational health nurse for the US Government Department of Defense. Survivors including her husband are, one son, Craig Kornegay of Durham, NC; one daughter, Beth Autry and her husband Brian of Fair Play, CO; two grandsons, Jason and Kyle Kornegay both of Wake Forest, NC; one brother, Boyd Beeker of Welcome, NC; two sisters, Martha Osbourn of West River, Maryland and Cynthia Blackenship of Garland, Texas.
